Trump promised $5 million if Obama disproved birtherism, so is he gonna pay up now?

Of course not. He doesn't keep promises.

This is a very interesting question by intrepid and dogged reporter David Fahrenthold:

Sent this to @realDonaldTrump spox, to ask how he will fulfill promise to give $5M if assured Pres. Obama born in US

If y’all remember, el Trumpo offered to give $5 million to charity if Obama proved that he’s a citizen. Well, fast forward a few years and it appears el Trumpo thinks it’s been proven:

Megyn Kelly

#Trump finally puts to rest questions over #Obama’s birthplace. #KellyFile has more @ 9 on the "birther" controversy

Sooooo… when is he gonna pony up that cash? Shouldn’t he at least be asked WHEN he changed his mind and what changed it?

We all know the answer – he’s only doing this because Kellyanne Conway persuaded him that it was in the campaign’s interests to do so. He probably never believed in birtherism in the first place. And none of his followers care that he completely and utterly lied about his “investigators” finding all sorts of amazing stuff in Hawaii? It’s all one big con game…

That his most devoted followers don't CARE that he lies about everything is a big problem. It means it's not just a matter of Trump having and being a bad character. A significant chunk of the nation is as well. This isn't going to work out well for the nation. A big part of both parties don't value integrity.

Note: I'm not saying that everyone voting for Trump is that way ( Above I mean the true believers and personality cultists). Some people know he's a cad but will vote for him anyway hoping he'll be less of a cad than Hillary. I think they're both beyond the pale but that's me. I think he's Hillary's moral equivalent and worse he's disarming the opposition to Hillary's policies and making both parties defacto liberal Democrats ... when he puts the same or similar policies forward that Hillary would, Republicans won't even make a token stand. And they're not.
