Re HNFSA - I am not sure what they are doing, but I don't think there is much new. There was a blob about buying a stake in some sort of waffle business that I remember, but I don't think it has yielded much.

It a sleepy sub-profitable company loaded with assets, run by insiders, nothing else.

I gave up on QECP when it was clear that the issues with HD ran deep. I think I made a small profit in it, but nothing to write home about.
