I can't envision that possibly happening. If Hillary goes down, the Democrats would cry and scream "foul", and they would take swift action to make the Republicans accede to their demands. From what we have witnessed for the past 7+ years, it takes virtually no effort at all to make the eGOP completely bend to the will of the Democratic Party, because they basically are the Democratic Party.

The eGOP has operated like a sweet little mild-mannered lap dog for the Democrats ever since they took back the Senate and expanded their lead in the House in the 2014 mid-term election landslide. The eGOP in Congress has functioned totally like Democrats ever since, which is a huge part of the reason that Trump broke voting records in the Republican Party primaries.

Looking at the past few years, one would think that that the Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress and the SCOTUS since 2014. Why would the eGOP suddenly change? It's naive to believe that they would.
