Here's a farm boy fun fact: the cattle next door are in the pasture 24/7. Which means their methane releasing manure is just laying out there poisoning the atmosphere.

But, I digress. Sadly for you, Texas A&M has shown that grazing actually sequesters GHGs. Actually the study didn't show that at all. It only claimed multiple paddock rotational grazing reduced methane emissions vs continuous grazing. Grazing cattle releases methane period .... they only compared how much carbon is captured in the soil under alternate grazing methods.

BTW this shows there are federal grants available for anything with a greenhouse gas angle.

Does the farmer next door use multiple paddocks like the TX A&M study specified? Doesn't matter much, they're going to be releasing methane anyway ... just maybe a little less with rotational grazing ... IF the study wasn't jimmied to get a green angle.
