Sonny-- I am carrying the ORCL into '98 for only one reason. When it dropped 9 overnight I jumped in at 23. I was greedy <gg> and wanted to be ready for the dead cat to bounce. The damn cat splattered all over and there was no bounce. The 30 day rule allowed me to seel all and take the loss on 100% (the 23 should be ok) or sell 2/3 and take the loss on 1/3. As everything else is WAY up at this point from the purchase point and gains are likely in '98 there might as well be something certain to go against them.

DDs-- I would have sold any I had. Bailed from Seagate on the plus side long ago--- never looked like a trade possibility since and it was nothing considered for a long term hold. Hell, even CPQ has me a little nervous and that is the one I feel the strongest about! (at least on the plus side-- ORCL is felt strongly about also <ggg>)!!!
