I read into your question, “Do you not see these things?” a request for what I do see, and my current opinion of the choice we are presented with.

You are asking the question, and inviting me to answer.

The jury for me is still a bit out on Trump, as to how I will vote… But as far as Clinton goes, I have decided.

Here are the pros and cons as I seem them presently, subject to change as I find out more...

Trump:

Recognizes what the part of the middle class that feels forgotten wants and needs:

1. Good Paying Jobs

2. Immigration control and reduction in the resultant competition by immigrants for available employment and wage pressure.

3. Safety. This is the primary function of government, and historically has been so since the middle ages and probably before and is the primary historical reason why we have grouped together in towns and cities… for protection. It is also the primary reason we have given our allegiance to the local lord, to protect us when the bad guys show up… and it's one of the reasons we have paid taxes in the past, to fund the lord so he has the weapons and horses and armor to protect us. We group together in towns now for commerce, and convenience, and employment… but we group into countries for safety… at least, that is what politicians tell us… and sometimes they are right.

4. Trumps tax plans seem to channel Ronald Reagan. I am not sure they will work. Yes, they will increase business risk taking, but will that offset the revenue loss and damage to the deficit? I think not.

5. Trump is a Gemini, and can present many faces to the public. We are seeing one face now, there are most likely others. What faces will we see after the election?

6. Bush Jr tore up a good chunk of the constitution with the Patriot Act, and may have been too stupid to understand what a bad idea that was. Obama is not that stupid, but has done next to nothing to fix it… so we have collusion by both parties to create a Stazi in waiting… waiting for the savior on a white horse to ride in and use it. That person may be Trump… no one knows at point, but I am sure some people think it.

H.Clinton

Running as Obama term 3.

Obamas foreign policy seems to me to be something like: treat your friends poorly, and treat your enemies well. The ultimate result of such a policy seems to me to be to add to the roster of enemies and reduce the roster of friends. HC has been in the thick of it, and may have been an architect.

HC is not trusted by what, 67% of the American people? She seems to be a serial lier (but you can argue that that is the function of a diplomat), and is perceived as such.

The recent video of her being dragged into her van, after her knees buckled, and she lost a shoe, which she blames on unannounced pneumonia indicates she is not physically fit. She may have Parkinson's… but she wants the office so much that she will do anything to get there, regardless of whether it is the right thing for party or country.

She along with Bill have used the Clinton Foundation as a pay for play scheme, and have collected many millions from foreign donors, including governments. The term “pay for play” is even included in some of the exposed DNC emails concerning the payments. She has received $250k per speech to Wall St. bankers, and refused to release the transcripts of the speeches. An out of country email friend knows one of the players in one of those firms, and he states that the $250k payment was not made for her speaking quality.

I have seen the ethnic and religious nature of Europe change… and now I think the majority of the folks in Sweden and Germany regret the choices made by their politicians… this is now showing in German election results.

Obama appears to want to do the same thing here, and HC wants to increase that by 550%. Many Muslims are very decent people, and want to live in harmony with others, and not force their beliefs on them. We know some of those folks, and they are actually our favorite people. However, there are some Islamic fundamentalists that take Koran literally… and there are parts of the Koran that do say to kill the unbeliever… and that means, anyone who is not of their particular narrow segment of belief. When that is taken literally you get San Bernardino, Orlando, Chattanooga, Fort Hood, the Twin Towers, Syria, Iran, and the latest pressure cooker bomber in NYC.

Islam is a relatively young religion, and its history has been one of spreading by conquest. The last time Europe was threatened was in the period 1529-1683, the period of attempted Turkish conquest and Siege of Vienna.

The Koran has not changed since those days. The question is, how literally do those that follow it take it? Some, not so much. Others are out for their 72 virgins and direct entry into paradise and are told and believe that will get them there. Trumps question is: How can you tell who is who, and that is a good question and a worthy one IMHO when considering immigration, and who your neighbor will be.
