There are enough with good fundamentals although I guess foreign money
will flow into household names. (just heard that money should
flow into some of the European multinational companies because of
the high dollar)
Still amazed at the Bill Gates saga. While the justice department is
foccusing on old business, Bill just bought out hotmail with maybe
9 million subscribers for his MSN network and just added to his position in another company for his megacontrol of the internet.
Wow..wonder if investors will follow suit. I guess Gates is great
for our country. Wonder if he even cares about the Year2000 problem.
Wonder if he is one of the huge driving engines that is moving the
economy..How many jobs have been created by the Internet?(those are
good jobs) Also Abbott just announced a powerful new drug to reduce
pain..won't that start interest in that sector? How many jobs
in total have been created by this information revolution

We have cable, telecommunications, internet security, content providers, and drugs..
that should keep the market going..
Strange things are happening. Bizarre with the tragic deaths of young
Diana and young Michael so much good seems to be springing out. Listened to all the fantastic programs Michael Kennedy has started
and how he started changing the system. Maybe now that they are
getting international attention, the private sector who have made gobs of
money might start a competition to see how many people they can help.
(I have never been pro Kennedy and I was never a follower of Diana
but I truly marvel at the goodness that might follow because of their
deaths.) Also the change of government in Iran might prove interesting
and change some middle east policies. I thought the reason that
Bush didn't take out S.H. was because he was afraid he would disturb
the balance of power and give Iran too much power. If the new Iran
government proves more moderate..who knows. Also since the middle
east seems to be breaking away from the US, that might also change
US policy. If oil remains down, what an antiinflation factor that
will continue to help the economies of the world.
Bobby ( waiting to see what will bring the dollar crashing down.).
I am wondering if I am beginning to see the glass half full rather
than empty.
Still think if we all returned to the gold standard, castrophes in
financial markets would greatly be reduced. Still see strong inflation in housing but I guess that is not a necessity. Also it still makes totally no sense to me that Central Bankers who hold most of the world's gold, keep on trying to devalue it, and basically they are
stripping their own bank accounts..Would you care to comment?
Bobby
