You are, of course, correct in that I omitted rite from our discussion of the word right, and the words rite, right, and wright (usually as a suffix: e.g., wheelwright), and write are all phonetically indistinguishable. There may be others.

The its/it's confusion is simply corrected by stating, as you have: its is possessive; it's means it is.

I like your unapostrophated; it has an active feel to it, but I don't think we'll find it in our books. Since you are a recognized creator of new words, this can be added to your list.

Yes, my use of "nite" as a farewell is probably inappropriate for this thread, but one may be forgiven for being "cute" once in a while. This has about the same feel as "Hi" or "'Bye". It must be based on that form of English we know as "baby talk" wherein parents make themselves sound very foolish (to outsiders) as they address their infants: "nitey-nite!"
