Moning Bill,,,,I'm baffled,,,,To me, this market has more lives than a cat...It's ability to ignore the Asian debacle is amazing,,, ... The fact that having to get ALL the king's horses and men together to deal with a problem that the American fund buyer seems to find irrelevant and basically unimportant...Are both right???,,,I've probably been reading to much on Mohan's thread,, but they seem to have the most logical reasoning IMO...Your call on the seasonal effect was right on in the end,,even on the back of a 4 day week with a 9.5 bill takedown in the funds...From my narrow perspective the rallies seem to be fairly narrowly based , with the most money flowing into the favourites...Perhaps I'm getting old too fast,,but I remember a lot of these stocks when they were knee hi to a grasshopper;;; doesn't seem that long ago...As far as predictions,,I can't even guess where they will be on tonight's close ,,let alone over the next year,,.. As far as i'm concerned we now have this new Large
x in the equation,, John Q,,,To my way of thinking John does'nt remember these grasshoppers when they were much smaller,,only in fondness,,,However they need not look that far,,,look at what they now think of junior golds, as compared to how they saw them pre BRE.X...
Or THE "ASIAN TIGERS" not so long ago...
Personally I find it difficult to believe that the market will make John wealthy in the end,,but maybe it is a new era,,and I'm getting too old to realize it...
Maybe it's the closing of our floor , and trading thru computers,,I'm not quite sure,,however I, and several of my peers have had great difficulty making money with any regularity the last 7 or 8 months,,,stocks seem to act and react with very little uniformity,,trends change hourly...I don't know if this is saying anything, but it is definitely out of character....
