Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary. I am sure you feel better today! I just leave everything in the freezer for years, finally throwing un eaten and inedible stuff out when I buy a new freezer. I have a piece of venison that was in my father's freezer. He has been gone for a year and was down here two years before his demise. And he didn't go hunting for at least ten years before that. I consider it a memento, almost an obligation, to watch over this precious object. Should I have buried it with his ashes? Should I return it to New Hampshire and replace it in his woods, possibly poisoning all wildlife that encounters it?? But just as possibly, nurturing some mycelium which could the next year produce some marvellous musrooms??? These are the things I ponder in the new year...
