That is an amazing piece of analysis - and it sure looks like it is exactly what they say it is.

I'd be curious to know what others think.

I think that women will mostly avoid scratching (or even touching) their face in a public situation - and I certainly have never seen that done like that before by someone in a debate.

I think the most that a woman (and probably men too) would do if they truly had an itch on their cheek or chin would be just touch and release. No one has an itchy cheek that requires that much scratching.
