The best furs are to be found in Siberia. But if you can't make the trip, there are several good furriers in New York I could recommend.

The most endearing way to get a new fur are the new "DO-IT-YOURSELF" fur shops opening up in Ohio, Tennessee and Kentucky. You pay admission to a fur farmer in exhange for a select hardwood bat, knee-high neoprene rubber boots, a Bowie knife and a 10-gallon tin drum (to contain the bloody harvest. You then have one hour to collect as many furs off the rabbits, foxes, ermins and minks they keep in the penned harvesting area. Gloves are suggested since the little critters tend to bite if you skin 'em alive.

For an additional fee, commerative photographs of your outing can be taken and copies sent to PETA headquarters.
