The upbeat side of that story is that it's highly likely that most of the perpetrators who commit such crimes will either be returning to jail or prison soon, or, even better, they'll end up dead from (a) black-on-black crime, (b) confronting a police officer, (c) drug abuse, or (d) HIV/AIDS. There are many things that usually lead to the demise of the savages. Fortunately, it's typically sooner rather than later.
