So that is fiscal "reality" in 2016. No wonder politicians like Obama have so easily sold a free lunch agenda.

There is no free lunch. Double entry bookkeeping tells you some entity or person always gets a bill: The bottom 60%, at least, are paying for lunch with 25 years globalism, of declining wages, and of servicing debt they took on to maintain living standards. (And, by the way, in their guts the bottom enders know they're paying).

Obama and his ilk don't think about this even if they know it.

Because they don't care. What the hell has the misfortune of others got to do with their well being? They're doing OK.

That they are parasitical off the top 1%, and the implications of that - the parasite must protect its host to survive - never crossed their minds, until Trump's take over of the Republican primaries.

Their fury at Trump - hatred, actually - arises because he's shown them to be a bunch of bums. He's wounded their vanity, and told them maybe they're only going to get half a free lunch.

But for the real 1% Trump is at worst a purgative.

Obama. Clinton, George Will - no real difference. The only difference is how close to the 1%'s cloaca they've pitched their tents.
