Record volume on GDX today - but that needs to be tempered by the higher total of outstanding units which have increased by over 30% since the start of the year, with half of that increase coming over the last week of August and month of September.

In other words, large value fund managers were buying the correction.

Although these managers are quickly down 10 - 15%, I don't expect them to be sellers here as they generally have a time frame of at least a year.
It's the hot money that got flushed today.
