>>>>>actually our house has 400K<<<<

My problem was I had about 90%+ or better of my total assets into real estate. Which is ok land prices around me are quite a bit higher over the last decade. I went out in the mid-80's and bought a bunch of cheap timbered ground for about $600 an Acre.....something my father -in-law told me I was nuts doing.....but now a lot of boomers want to move out of the town....away from telephone poles & street lights...to that 'home in the county'....and are willing to pay $6,000 an acre for that same ground. I know cheap by California Standards....but dear here. Overall I'm just changing the percentages....I'll still be 80% real estate. I'm not selling it all.....just allowing a few neighbors into the woods....so my kids have somebody to play with.....at least that's the my story.

You know....you never know....my father-in-law was right....shoulda put it all in MicroSoft & Intel. But I have to agree with that fellow from Russia....I wouldn't do the house.

But I have heard when Tech takes a hit.....your dear California Ground gets cheaper....is that right?
