Michael, I've been on this board since last April or so and I've seen the nature of the discussion change several times. The reason for the changes is an interesting picture of investor psychology. We,ve had bears, we've had bulls. There have been novices, there have been seasoned investors. From long term investors to traders, we've had them all, even some looky-loos who wonder whats going on with NXTL. Some use happy talk, others cry margin calls. All in all, we're getting a pretty well rounded education in why and how markets move. It still comes down to fear and greed. So I say 'let em rock and roll with whatever they want to talk about.'
As to starting a new NXTL topic, I didn't start this one nor is it my board. If you want to start another board I'll certainly look in and contribute when/if I feel the need. I haven't written much on this thread recently primarily because there hasn't been much to say. The folks here are all relatively old timers and how many different ways can we say the same things? From my perspective, the heavy lifting has already been done on Nextel. It's been fertilized and watered and now we're waiting for the harvest.
I've been writing some over on the Yahoo Nextel board, primarily because there's a different crowd and some guys who are out in left field. Since I like to hit line drives, I bat some of their pitches back at them. The discussion has recently centered around NXTL's capacity which is a non-issue for NXTL's startup phase. Some think that, because NXTL has less bandwidth than T or Sprint, that's a reason why NXTL won't succeed. Of course it's a bunch of baloney and so I throw my two cents worth in. Those issues have long been settled on this board. Besides, when the stock is over $100, who will care whether NXTL is numbero uno or not? Not me.

P.S. I'm still hanging tough on my 400k new digital adds for the 4th quarter. |
