Liar. weather.com I have lived on the Texas Gulf Coast most of my life. The problem that newcomers have with hurricanes is that by the time you know how bad it is going to be, it is too late to evacuate. Most of the fatalities are because people are too dumb to know that and wind up riding out the hurricane. Oh, the rest are because they are too stupid to know that the eye of the hurricane is calm. So when the eye passes over them, they figure it is over and go out to so various things. Then the other side of the eyewall hits and they aren't in a protected place. I've heard of cases where some moron decides that tree limbs might be a danger and decided to cut them off while in the eye. Being caught in a tree when the trailing eyewall hits is usually fatal. On the plus side, one less Fox viewer. Hurricanes are one of the largest natural disasters that exist on the planet. They are also unpredictable. They bring torrential rains, high winds and tornadoes. When winds get above about 100 mph, you get roof damage. But even below that, flying debris can be very damaging. If you are on the coast and decide to "experience the power" you could very well die. Period. To politicize them by downplaying the danger should be treason. It is a very serious situation and to play politics is a danger to the country. Eat shit and die.
