I totally disagree on there being technical damage in the PM markets including the miners.
This level of correction was the most likely scenario off the top in early august. It just took a little longer and the move down in gold was more dubious.
Also see not much damage to the sentiment. Pretty normal stuff and surprised about all of the comments about how this market will not see a "v" bottom. Fact is that is what almost always happens in this market.

Take a look a quality asset like DGC which is down 40% off the high. Can it go down another 10%?
Yep

Should one be worried about the balance sheet as was the case a year ago?
Nope

Will it rally 20%-30% really quickly when gold turns?
Probably

Will people miss the move again it stocks like this waiting for the next 10% which may not ever come?
Yep

The way one might look at the market if one was out of the market at the top in August.

Miners may drop X in a worst case scenario
If we are 80% of the way there then one might be 80% positioned.

And if people have not learned. Stay away from 3x issues except as a hedge or a scalp off of extreme moves
They are poor man's leverage. And if ya aint poor they will make you that way
