No I can't help, I added a notebook to on of my monitors using the Fn key in Windows 7 and when I upgraded to Win 10 I lost the ability to use the Fn keys so I did it through Windows 10 using the software and it worked perfect. Don't tell me how I did it because that was over a year ago. I never remove them. I use to dock commuters years ago but never had a problem. I am not an expert on the subject.
