What I want and what I offer is stock ideas. Many of them. I try to limit my posts on a particular stock, sometimes I get enthused, and report more than I'd like. Generally my adds are as a stock goes down, so I sometimes feel that if nobody else here liked the stock at $x, maybe they'll like it at $.75x. So I might mention it again. I try only to post when I am committing my own funds. I try not to comment on my stocks unless somebody here mentions the stock first (your recent/last post to the thread about SIMO, for example). I try to be very careful about my sells, and generally don't mention them. (Reason: I assume people are interested in buying a stock that's a value, not one that's being sold maybe at fair value.) Sometimes I mention some sells because I've given up and taken losses - they might be buys for somebody else though (using me as a contra indicator). Sometimes I'll mention the sell because I want to thank the original poster for the idea.
Why do you believe people read this thread? What do you believe they want? This thread has a contingent of people who've been here 15-20 years, and also some new people (1-3). Maybe they want decent/detailed arguments for a particular stock. I don't provide that. I believe most thread readers have their own way of looking at stocks and determining value. I believe my posts of purchases provide some ideas that they could take away and review for suitability. I don't provide them the homework for it, just the idea. I believe that's why most people are here - for stock ideas. Maybe not my stock ideas, but stock ideas nonetheless.
