If it's really more than a ploy to affect our election, which I think it is, right now, it's crazy for us to enter a major conflict over Syria. We need to stay out of that place, especially now that Assad is gaining back ground.

Russia will not be driven out. They want to keep Tartus at all costs. And they'll need it to protect the Iran, Iraq, Syria NG pipeline to Europe they've got their hopes set on.
