John Koligman, Re: Multiple Monitors on Win98:

Win 98 will suppport multiple monitors (up to 4 ?) with the drivers included in Win98. For each monitor you need a video card. The Desktop and all applications will span all the monitors. You can drag windows from Monitor to monitor and position windows anywhere within those monitors. You can open up as many applications as possible with the system resources available. Thus you can have your browser on one tube and your RT quote screen on another. Assuming you have the CPU and memory available to do this without performance issues.
I wouldn't wait for Win98 though, it will be sometime before it is released and de-bugged.
Buy an Appian Jeronimo J2 video card, which supports 2 monitors, or a J4 card which supports 4 monitors. Use Win NT and the Appian drivers and you can do this now. The Dell Workstation 400 with 2 monitors has this card and 2 monitors. It is really fantastic. You will never go back to 1 monitor.
