Pierre,
re I'd give them better odds at doing a good job of it than Microsoft, which always seems to require at least 3 iterations of a product to arrive at something useful.

I spent most of the last 3 1/2 years doing development work using Mac/OS, and we referred to MacsBug as a screen saver because it comes up so often. I've used v7.1, 7.3, 7.5, 7.5.1, 7.5.3, 7.5.5, 7.6, and OS/8, so I think they would be doing a lot better if they could get it right in only three iterations. I particularly enjoyed their dropping AOCE (PowerTalk) support in v7.6 after I had spent a lot of time developing software using it for event notification software across the network.

regards

Gary
