Mellanox(R) Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX), a leading supplier of high-performance, end-to-end interconnect solutions for data center servers and storage systems, today announced first shipments of ConnectX(R) -5, the world's highest performing 10, 25, 40, 50, 56 and 100Gb/s EDR InfiniBand and Ethernet adapter, to leading server and storage OEMs and key end-users. ConnectX-5 sets new performance records, enables greater applications and data center performance. ConnectX-5 adapter delivers 200 million InfiniBand messages per second, 33 percent faster than the previous ConnectX-4 generation, and more than two times better versus proprietary 100G offerings. For Ethernet DPDK infrastructures ConnectX-5 enables 140 million messages per second, 1.7 times higher message rate versus previous generations. ConnectX-5 facilitates the building of the world's most advanced and scalable data centers. The combination of ConnectX-5, X86, Power, ARM, FPGA and GPUs enables the most efficient server and storage platforms, overcoming performance bottlenecks that exist with competitive and proprietary products.
