Jet Gold (JAU-V) Oct 26, '16 will change its name to Deep-South Resources Inc. and will consolidate its common shares by a ratio of one new share for two old shares. The company will start trading under its new name and on a consolidated basis upon receipt of all applicable regulatory approvals.
On another matter, the board of directors has appointed John H. Akwenye as both a director and chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Akwenye is a retired Namibian lawyer with over 30 years of experience in business development in Namibia. From 1994 to 2008, he was chairman of Guinas Investments Pty. Ltd. a Swapo-owned investment company. He has also been chairman of the Namibian Airports Company from 2001 to 2004. He is a current director of Areva Resources Namibia, PE Minerals and Haib Minerals Pty. Ltd., as well as the chairman of Deep-South Mining Company Pty. Ltd.
Mr. Akwenye's appointment is conditional to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
