No, I believe I would be dismayed by a Merlot that had a shelf life of less than ten years. Would you not agree? It would seem a bit too fruity, however I cannot fault your decision due to the fact that I have not partaken of the label. Thank you for the flattering remark about my former posts....I'm certain you have a devious side which has calculated that if only 10% of Mrs. Crabtree's class goes over to read what I post I shall be in Bellevue by the end of the month. Yes, I know I'm soaking in it....I should have been a "Don't Bee" instead of a "Do Bee". It's my own fault....when I took the final 8th grade geography exam in parochial school one of the questions was "What is the capital of Brazil?" Like an idiot, I was the only one to say Brasilia. That year it was changed from Rio. The rest of the class said Rio, they were marked wrong, but so was I. Why? Because although I was the most erudite person in the class the nuns hated me because I would not conform. I imagine at this juncture you are wondering what the point of that story is. (So am I....give me a second). The point is, the rules change depending on who the authority figure is. My relatives in Ireland are unhappy the "Yanks" don't spell harbor or color as "harbour" or "colour". They think it's more romantic. Da hell with 'em. What do they know. The 'ell with the English as well. A greedy band living on a worthless island....a bunch of losers who have no claim on anything except perhaps the finest kidney pie in the world...people of this ilk are going to frown on the manner in which I care to express myself? I feel a rant coming on!!! So I shall stifle myself....I will back off and accept that the English people as a group are a pompous, caste society that has nothing to do with reality as we know it. Further, if I ever see a copy of "The King's English"...I believe that was what it was called in an earlier post....I shall endeavor to burn it to reaffirm my status as a true American. (Not endeavour....yea, verily, endeavor!!! Gawd Bless America! (How'd I do?)
