Yet another falsehood is making the rounds in Wingerville. There appears to be no limit to them. Especially when people like Pam Geller, one of the Queens of Lying, about Islam in particular, and Milo Yiannopoulos, another Liar in Chief, are involved. Lights Öff! Unreliable web sites spun a news story about the Swedish Transport Administration nixing Christmas lights on street poles into a fictional tale about kowtowing to Muslim immigrants. CLAIM: Sweden has discontinued the tradition of adorning street poles with Christmas lights to avoid angering Muslim refugees. snopes.com
