Non-massaged polls (other than adding 5 for C to LA Times) would seem to point to C +1/2 lead. I think trends would have put us at +2/3 anyway so not much impact so far. I think polls stop tightening before it gets to even BUT state polls will tighten to end. They lag. Gonna be 4 awful years though. I really hope GOP gets 51 in Senate so they can try to stop any EO-driven stuff.

Funny anecdote: I am a RINO through and through. I know its meant to be derogatory just as gweilo is but I call myself both. Anyway, my wife hangs out with a lot of rich expats, all for Clinton. They all say both are bad but they get hysterical about Trump. Anyway, I outlined what I hope could be a compromise on immigration to my wife. Main features: permanent residency, in system for taxes/SS/benefits, no vote. I think such a plan, absent Hastert rule might get enough GOP. The no vote might lose some Dems but meant to be real compromise. My wife was aghast: you can't let them stay. They are illegal. Everyone will flood there.
