Elroy you are addressing a very narrow subject that is not so relevant today. One of the main problems is that the "electoral college" does not reflect the popular vote and it is easy to manipulate, and this a small part of my response to you.

How many people lived in CA 200 years ago and sent to the Senate 2 representatives, same as Montana.

Montana has 2 senators in the US senate with a population of little over 1 million compared to CA with a pop. of 39 million or NY with 19 million.

N. Dakota and S. Dakota have around 800,000 pop. and each of them have 2 senators in the US Senate with same voting power as CA Senators with 39 million citizens and NY Senators with 19 million citizen

Please get real

US election system should go to the dustbin as earlier the better, and the majority vote should count not some old system that was devised 200 years ago with complete different population distribution across the US

As a side comment I also noted the fact that your attitude is also very politically directed toward me on professional issues completely unrelated to politics - and this is sad, as is the attitude of other Democratic Party supporters on this tread, which reminds me of my early days in life under communist rule - you do not belong to the communist party your are second grade citizen no matter to your qualifications.
