was unhappy with one statement made by Mollencoff, in which he seemed to imply that Qualcomm would now become a fabbed semiconductor company. This is a mistake. They need to become fabless as fast as possible and then book deals with the fabs they sell.

I also did not hear that they would move fast in cutting non preforming businesses or wholesaling them off.

While it is nice to get $1.07 in EPS for cash you had sitting around, it will become a major cash and capital consumer going forward if they do not take the cutting off dead branches approach as fast as possible.

They need to appoint someone outside the normal business flow to be the champion of cutting costs, FABS, and people before it becomes a bottom line cash drain.
