My dad had 50,000 shares of Denison when it was 50 cents. A friend of his Gilbert Labine (of Eldorado fame) had brought him some of the ore from there and I remember him showing it around. Infortunately we got bad advice from a PhD geo, O.O., who told it was not that interesting and sold out at 1.50. It went to 90 bucks.

Our mining shcool had close contacts with Denison. Not so moi. I used to see the senior Roman down at the covention all the time but declined to suck up. Ah pride. I knew that the big D used to get high tailings spike or surges of U contamination (1000 PPM) in the tailings but used to throw out the record of these excursions as "bad sampling statistics." The taxpayer and Denison is paying now for self serving idiocy. That kind of company rug sweeping I could not stomach. I always felt if something is broke, fix it. Beside wouldn't the talings recovery have been economic? Mining like a lot of industries that find convenience in cover ups wants yes men, not problem solvers.
