What I can't figure out is why some people learn and some people seem to be impervious to learning. Take a thread like this, there are many people that consistently post very intelligent stuff here.

And yet, there is another group that seems to get almost everything wrong and they do not seem capable of learning. How is that possible? How is it that so many people can witness the facts day after day and disregard them?

The perfect example is the issue of evolution. I remember the 2012 Republican primary. When asked who believed in evolution, out of 15 or so people the only one that raised his hand was John Huntsman and he was at 1%. And he was the only one who beleived in global warming and he added:"call me crazy"-lol.

So basically, it seems the majority of Republicans don't even believe in evolution, forget about more esoteric things like global warming. That makes it a pretty ignorant party.

Evolution is taught as fact at every major university in the world. They can re-create evolution in the lab and do so every day. This is not a theory, this is hard-core modern-day science that everybody agrees on, except the Republican Party?

I find it all very puzzling
