Jay Z will headline a concert for Hillary; Here are some of the vile things he’s rapped about women

The Hillary Clinton campaign announced yesterday that recording mogul Jay Z will headline a concert on behalf of their African-American get out the vote effort, according to CNN.

Rapper Jay Z will headline a concert for Hillary Clinton in Cleveland before Election Day, according to a Clinton aide.

The event — which aides expect will draw thousands — is part of an ongoing series of concerts that aim to motivate young people to turn out for Clinton the way they turned out for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Jay Z’s event is targeted specifically at young black voters, an electoral demographic that has been reluctant to rally around Clinton, in part, because of comments she made in the 1990s and her support of President Bill Clinton’s crime bill.

Ironically, it was the same day pop star Katy Perry sported a “Nasty Woman” t-shirt while going door-to-door for the former Secretary of State in Las Vegas:

tap it if you’re nasty

Obviously, the Katy Perry t-shirt display is to draw attention to GOP nominee Donald Trump calling Clinton a “nasty woman” during last week’s debate. Because calling a woman “nasty” is an outrageous outrage and that kind of misogyny and hate speech against women can’t be tolerated and must be condemned.

Which brings us to the irony of Jay Z performing on behalf of the Democratic Party’s nominee. Let’s have a sample of the NSFW lyrics that Mr. Z has made a fortune promulgating.

Here’s a delightful little ditty called “Bitches and Sisters”:

(Bitch) Sisters get respect, bitches get what they deserve
Sisters work hard, bitches work your nerves
Sisters hold you down, bitches hold you up
Sisters help you progress, bitches will slow you up
Sisters cook up a meal, play their role with the kids
Bitches in street with their nose in your biz
Sisters tell the truth, bitches tell lies
Sisters drive cars, bitches wanna ride
Sisters give-up the ass, bitches give-up the ass
Sisters do it slow, bitches do it fast
Sisters do their dirt outside of where they live
Bitches have niggers all up in your crib
Sisters tell you quick “you better check your homie”
Bitches don’t give a fuck, they wanna check for your homie
Sisters love Jay cuz they know how ‘Hov is
I love my sisters, I don’t love no bitch

I wonder which one Hillary is.

Then there’s “That’s my bitch” with fellow Hillary Supporter Kanye West:

“99 Problems” features “bitch,” “hoes” and the N-word. Now that’s a bonus, right?

Rap critics that say he’s “Money Cash Hoes”
I’m from the hood stupid what type of facts are those
If you grew up with holes in your zapatos
You’d celebrate the minute you was having dough
I’m like fuck critics you can kiss my whole asshole
If you don’t like my lyrics you can press fast forward
Got beef with radio if I don’t play they show
They don’t play my hits well I don’t give a shit SO
Rap mags try and use my black ass
So advertisers can give em more cash for ads…fuckers
I don’t know what you take me as
or understand the intelligence that Jay-Z has
I’m from rags to riches nigga I ain’t dumb
I got 99 problems but a bitch ain’t one
Hit me

Hillary Clinton can’t bring herself to comment on Jay Z’s gratuitous use of “bitch” in so many of his songs. Not as long as he’s with her, right?

Or, maybe we are now operating under new rules of decency and misogyny. I mean, to watch Perry and Clinton and Sen. Elizabeth Warren go out of their minds reacting to the “nasty woman” comment you’d think that’s the worst thing you can call a woman in our society.

So, if Jay Z had sung “I got 99 problems but a nasty woman ain’t one,” then we’d have some outrage, right?
