We did too. We loved George- such a brief and poignant picture of the king, but it helps explain Elizabeth. Her relationship with Phillip is fascinating. I'd known a bit about it, but the Crown is very personal. The acting is superb- and it shows you things you wouldn't have thought of- such as, they operated on the king in the palace (just turned a ballroom into an operating theater- who knew?) I've watched the first two. I am very much a fan, and the rest of my family like it just as much as I do.
