Thanks for the article and also for contacting Kipp at MU.
It sounds like they are keeping a close eye on the situation.

A few of the things I plan to watch which will or may
affect future DRAM prices.

-- The reaction to Appleton's trip to Washington to address
the House Banking Committee on the S. Korean bailout

-- The value of the S. Korean won

-- How the aggressively the Taiwanese react to S. Korea's
slowdown in capital expenditure.

Personally -- why anyone would want to pour more money into
DRAM is beyond my comprehension at this point. Unless, like
Micron, you've figured out how to make them cheaper. Or have
some other edge. Instead of seeing S. Korea's slowdown as
an opportunity, I would hope the Taiwanese fabs would also
see it as a potential warning. Okay I'll get off my soapbox
now!
