TRN: Here's something that I've not seen posted that could be relevant for those here who are interested in TRN and/or rail leasing/rail-related stocks:

From this weekend's Barron's:
ValueAct Capital raised its stake to 14,921,000 shares (9.8%) following the purchase of 2,900,000 shares from Sept. 16 to Oct. 31 at $21.09 to $223.68 each. (Ed. Obvious decimal point error)

Fyi, from Wikipedia:
ValueAct makes a significant investment into the company and then works with the company to make changes with goal of increasing long-term stock value and thus creating a profit for ValueAct.

So I'm guessing at today's current price ($21.53), there still might be an opportunity to make a purchase of TRN. (based on ValueAct's continuing purchase here)

==============
Aside. Regarding: too many posts here on TRN? I accept that some of you guys feel I as moderator am unfair or arbitrary in what posts I discourage or want to see posted here. TRN has several stockholders here, and the sector itself (RAIL/ARII,GBX, TRN) gets interest.
