To be honest Spank, we did have a lot of problems reading a Zip drive on the network; taking down our NT server after installation, writing on disks that would go through the motions but not actually update the files. Several people I know have experienced similar problems. The software and hardware simply aren't up to par as evidenced by the number and type of failures. Now, bulls were of course foaming at the mouth, assuming I was short, claiming I was trying to talk down the stock, et cetera. As always, the attention then turned to me: personal questions, hate mail, and of course spelling errors. The most hillarious post was somebody actually claiming that if you post your position that somehow clears the air and you are to be taken at face value. That is so naive that it's beyond description and the notion that there is some requirement to notify the thread that whether you are net long or short is patently ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as the fuss they made over a few spelling errors. The truth is, I think IOM products are a pile of junk and I have firsthand experience that confirms that. No amount of personal attacks or "learn how to spell stupid" remarks are going to change that. So basically it was a bunch of foaming at the mouth bulls jumping on somebody for making a casual observation and there you have it. I think you knew that anyway.

BTW, CD recorders are really the way to go for backup and they are getting cheaper all the time. They are also far more reliable in terms of storage life and you would be hard-pressed to find somebody without an available CD if you are exchanging large files with other companies.
