Ayn Rand was a hard core sociopath and led a cult. She called the workers vermin and she made one of the cult members, a young man, convince his wife that he should sleep with her because she wanted him to. She was like 20 years his senior, and that went on for years. She was a person who railed against social programs, like Medicare and Social Security and yet at the end of her life was using both of them. She was a hypocrite and altogether horrible person. She was also a speed freak.

And her objectivist philosophy is nuts. There is no real objectivity possible. Her biographers paint a picture of a horrible person.

"here are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

It's just that I agree on a few more things with him than with Hillary the Harpy. But he's far from Libertarian in his ideology. Yay Ayn Rand [from what I've read of her stuff, she mostly agreed with me].
