1. You can scan for weekly or daily but not both simultaneously without tricking it with a 5X formulation of the parameters. Two different scans would be a simpler solution as it's an Explorer option. You can change x-axis compression with a toolbar to toggle between daily and weekly in the same window for viewing charts or set up a layout to view both in different windows.

2. The compression options are daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly or a user defineable "other", so the five-day bar would seem easy to accomplish without any subterfuge.

There has been some discussion lately about the method MS employs in indicator timing compression to properly execute the weekly scans and displays -- MS reps saying the program automatically makes these adjustments and Richard suggesting that all parameter timing must be increased by the appropriate multiplier in a daily mode. I'm unsure exactly what the program does in weekly settings vs. these recommendations. Maybe he can elaborate.
