* 1 STOCK - 1 WEEK * SHORT NETA OPEN 1-5-98 ML(Dec30-)...Fourth Quarter preview..as the anxiety over the merger subsides we would expect the stock performance to improve markedly.....NETA remains significantly undervalued trading at only 21x '98 EPS of $2.45 4Q in very good shape with our estimates of $170M and .48! No ASIA impact expected!!!Asian market underpenetrated and market share gains are a major opportunity... I think a P/E of 21 is too high, No asian exposure to speak off so no growth, competition comming out of the wood works..
