American was let down by DNC's choice of Hillary for presidency. The people have been fed up and want change. And as I pointed out repeatedly during the primaries, the choice between Hillary and Trump would come down to the choice between change and status quo. And people chose change. Now if you Bernie had been nominated, it would have been an easy win. But the Dems simply fought battles of bygone eras. There are plenty of lessons to take away from this by all politicians for years.

Yesterday the Leonard Cohen song " Democracy" kept playing in my head: youtube.com

In the mean time, there's Canada - though you may have to wait in the line up: Canadian immigration website crashes as American voters watch Election Day results .

PS Now I will have to pay up to my dad :( The old man still remains the best political analyst I have ever known. And predicted months ago that Trump will win despite all the "evidence" to the contrary.
