Is ascend worth 8 billion in mkt cap? THATS 8-9 times sales at 40/shr. ASND will have 1997 sales of $1,160,000,000 to $1,170,000,000 this year (depending on whether 4Q revenue is 290MM or 300MM). So, 40/share times 200MM shares = 8,000,000,000 is just 6.8 times sales. LU paid about 9 times sales for Livingston. What do you think would be the better deal? Gary Korn
