Virtually every poll showed that Clinton would beat Trump too. In fact nearly everyone including most people in Trump's camp believed on that final day that he would lose. They were as surprised as everyone else that he won (so said a Bloomberg reporter who was embedded with them throughout the campaign including the final day; on With All Due Respect, today).
