What Drug companies want to do a study on other indications for OTC Aspirin and Ibuprofen and other generics and their effectiveness compared to expensive alternatives? I'm not an expert on the FDA or medicine, but I'd like to see the FDA request a generic comparison against a new medicine for an old indication. This after a placebo comparison for the indication. Example Metformin against the more costly new drugs that are out on type 2 diabetes. I always ask my doctor if their is a generic available.
