The tea party element and Trump get along very well. The other thing is he contributed funds to help get some Republican members elected. As Paul Ryan said today some were Elected in their states only because they rode on Trump's coat tails. He would promote them at his massive rallies and ask the voters to re-elect them.
He has a favor or two to call in if he needs to.
