Australians do like to call a spade a spade. No pussy-footing around. They just grab the political pussy whether they let you or not. They make Donald look like a simpering hypocrite. Ocker Ozzie is an apt epithet. It's fun to watch their political discussions. They soon put the kibosh on hordes of invaders invading over the narrow sea from Indonesia. Having a ready built wall was quite an advantage. Thank goodness for the even wider and deeper one with rougher and colder water that New Zealand enjoys.

Unfortunately, NZ just invites them in anyway so we have headed for banana republic status over the decades, dropping from 3rd in the world GDP per person to way down somewhere in the pits. As well as which the Australians sensibly pulled up the drawbridge and slammed shut the portcullis to keep the invaders who were hopping from third world to NZ, get the NZ passport, then to Oz using the open border and full rights of migration. The dumb Kiwis are now left to rot in their little cess pool at the bottom of the world. Admittedly it's actually pleasant enough for most people but there's not much inspiration and optimism these days. In fact there's pandemic depression, anxiety and prescription of mental illness drugs.
