When the essential or characteristic customs and conventions of a community are threatening to individuals with views counter to conventional wisdom, they need to be challenged. If this were not the case we would still have slavery, despotic tyrants would never be over thrown, and oppressive standards would be ubiquitous. When free speech is only permitted when coming from one perspective it fails the test. This has been increasingly the case over the past few decades. Case in point is the recent election where if you openly opposed the most corrupt politician ever to run (Hillary) you were met with outrage and accused of racism, misogyny, and hatred of the poor. If someone attacks the police, white men, religion, or any traditional establishment and you pose a rational objection, you are met with outrage ... to the point where decent folk have had to refrain from public discourse over any controversial issue.

For the record any race based power or gender based power is an extreme view no less than Nazism. All such views should be abhorred and publicly decried, black, white ... whatever. Yet we hear no objections to race/gender based power movements from the left when it is non-white or feminist.
