Williams on Obamacare: Won't end, but will see an orderly migration 2 Hours Ago | 04:45

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump may be willing to keep at least two parts of the Affordable Care Act in place, despite campaigning on a pledge to repeal and replace the law, according to The Wall Street Journal.

After meeting with sitting President Barack Obama, Trump said he favors keeping the prohibition on denying coverage based on patients' pre-existing conditions, as well as a provision that extends children's coverage on their parents' insurance policy, according to the Journal's interview, the first since his election this week.

During his campaign, vice president-elect Mike Pence said " the case has never been stronger for repeal" of the Affordable Care Act.

Trump affirmed that the health insurance law, which he deems unaffordable, will be amended, repealed or replaced. But Trump said now that he's won, "it's different."
