Given that Trump won this election despite being almost universally disliked is really more a rejection of the product the Democrats had on offer than anything else. Even with a better product history is against the same political party prevailing 3 Presidential elections in a row. The Democrats are in need of new blood, and the Republicans are in need of new ideas.
